2nd Annual Meet and Greet Event

Event Outline

  •  6:50 PM
    Doors open –school teachers, administrators, and students greet and seat guests, offer Information about school, offer refreshments.
  •  7:00PM
    Student performance and/or show school video (optional)
  •  7:10PM Welcome by school principal
    • Communicate the background and success of school.
    • Highlight the number of applicants and number of spots to be filled.
    • Introduce VIP guests if applicable (i.e. public officials, foundation members).
    • Explain the Lottery event process.
    • Kick-off the Lottery.
  •  7:20PM Lottery process
    • Two-three school administrators/teachers assemble at head table.
    • One or two people may select and announce selected names. One or two people record results.
    • Announce names. (“Selected” is preferable to “winning”)
    • Each name called should receive a certificate officially entitling them to enrollment Media interviews.
    • Other staff should assist media with coverage and interviews of attendees during Lottery.
    • School principal should be made available for interviews after her welcome comments.
  •  7:40PM Conclusion by school principal
    • Welcome new students and families to the school community.
    • Thank all for attending and encourages parents to be active in school movement.
