South Florida School Of Excellence is excited to announce the online academic curriculum program which lets students login to their classes from anywhere and at any time. Classes to facilitate academic needs for our students for all core subjects grades 6th to 12th for all core subjects [English, Math, Science, and Social Studies]. SFSE's new learning platform is called Edgenuity. Accredited courses taught by certified teachers to support students to earn high school credits for college admissions.
Whether students are full or enrolled in our "Blended Teaching Program." Students will have individual learning licenses/accounts to perform all their coursework while in class or on the Zoom if sick with COVID-19 and had to attend“At Home Distance Learning Classes”. learning platform. The teacher will facilitate the instructions, and the students will work and submit all their assignments on the Edgenuity platform.
What is Edgenuity?
Edgenuity has received top accreditation from AdvancED® and approval of courses by the NCAA. Flexible digital courses that meet the needs of the student's core curriculum, AP, honors, elective, dual enrollment credit courses. The courses are built using an instructional model grounded in research and are aligned to Florida state standards.
What are the benefits of Edgenuity courses for my child?
Edgenuity’s courses are designed to help students learn at their own pace and on their own time. The flexibility and design of these courses empower students to focus on exactly the content they need in order to earn credits, and graduate on time.
How are the courses delivered?
The course has combined direct-instruction with SFSE instructors and on-screen teachers’ instructional videos, posted assignments, and assessments to engage students and ensure subject-area mastery. Students will be provided his/her own personal Chromebook with headphones with a unique number assigned.
How will my child receive interventions for his/her Reading and Math?
Through MyPath your child will be supported with a flexible and media-rich set of content-based assessment tools and instructional materials designed specifically to support the Florida state standards. MyPath creates individualized and prescriptive learning paths based on each student’s specific level of skills mastery, providing them with extremely efficient and targeted skills practice and remediation.
